Global Governance and Climate Change


Objectives of the GEIC Climate Change Project

"The United Nations system and Governments should initiate a process...for the involvement of [NGOs] at all levels from policy-making and decision-making to implementation" (Agenda 21 Chapter 27 para 27.6).

The GEIC project on Global Governance and the Role of NGOs has the objective of defining ways in which the UN system can be accommodate non-governmental inputs. The project focuses on climate change issues, and links to the Conference of Parties to the Climate Change Convention (COP3 and COP4).
